COVID-19 RESPONSE IN LONDON

PROBLEM

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, NHSE set up incident response units known as Gold (strategic), Silver (tactical) and Bronze (operational) Commands in all regions across England. The system needed to change its way of working overnight. I was brought on for three weeks to support the North West London region's response unit and establish clear lines of communication and governance.

SOLUTION

Rapidly developed pathways, governance structures, risk procedures and lines of communication.

IMPACT

A cohesive and comprehensive work structure that is allowing the Command system to function sustainably, effectively and safely.

MY ROLE

Developing process maps to chart and track risks relating to secondary and primary care organisations in North West London in relation to the outbreak of COVID-19. Working across senior stakeholders in Gold Command to initiate an effective risk tracking and response approach.
